About Our Founder
Andy has always had busy hands. His mother recounts stories of Andy as the kid who took things apart to see how they worked and mostly put them back together. One day a cabinet shop in downtown Carmel, IN caught his eye, and he stopped in to ask for a job. After that first adventure into interior finish carpentry, Andy learned how to do things and maybe how not to do things. He went from that cabinet shop to a job as an interior trim carpenter.
Andy started to learn the nuances of wood and how cutting or routing it in a certain direction created a better result. He developed an appreciation for wood grain and how to use the natural textures and colors of the materials to create patterns and details.
Andy’s philosophy for helping his clients is “It’s not about what’s trendy. It’s about what works for you.”
Given his eye for design and space planning, some might say Andy should have been an architect. But he loves to build and create things. He also has a gift for listening to his clients, identifying their vision, and devising the means to make it a reality.
